Book Punta del Este

Book Punta Del Este by Assouline

Description

The world-class South American resort of Punta del Este stretches elegantly into the sparkling waters off the coast of Uruguay. The golden sands, natural beach houses and world-class cuisine attract elite visitors, transforming the destination into a jet set playground. Often compared to the Hamptons, Saint-Tropez and Monaco, Punta del Este stands out for its unique landscape, combining the best of city, countryside and beach. The city's vibrant nightlife entertains guests until the early hours and the daylight hours are filled with horseback riding through pristine nature, discovering the unique Casapueblo and experiencing an authentic asado, a unique South American social event involving a barbecue.

In Punta del Este, readers discover the various must-see towns that dot the region, each with their own distinct offerings: Las Piedras for the luxurious Fasano Hotel, Manantiales for unparalleled surfing, Garzòn for experiencing Francis' otherworldly cuisine Mallmann, and La Barra for some well-deserved relaxation by the beach. The mystique of Punta del Este will never cease to fascinate.
